Like all other materials used on a daily basis, furniture coverings also need to be maintained and cleaned regularly because they are also exposed to constant dust and contact soiling. As a rule, you should not let the dirt build up as this will make cleaning more difficult and the dirt may penetrate the cover materials. Correct cleaning and care of your furniture will help to retain the value of your furniture.
We recommend regular vacuum cleaning with a special upholstery nozzle on the lowest suction level in the direction of the nap. Setting the suction level too high can lead to fibres working their way out of the internal upholstery. From time to time, wipe over your furniture with a slightly damp cloth to retain the elasticity of the fibres, especially when radiators are in use in rooms with central heating systems.
Leather is easy and undemanding where care is concerned, but does not take kindly to the use of aggressive products. Never use stain remover, solvents, turpentine, shoe polish or other unsuitable products.
To ensure that the high-quality leather remains beautiful, you will need to clean and maintain the product regularly. We have care kits specially developed for our products. This not only freshens up the visual appearance but extends the service life of your upholstered furniture, improving its typical leather characteristics. You can order the care product appropriate for your cover material using the order card enclosed in the information envelope or directly online at: www.3c-care.com (see reference samples in the information envelope). So as to maintain your ability to claim on the guarantee, leather-covered upholstered furniture must as a precaution be treated at least twice a year with the original long term, deep-action protection kit. Should you fail to carry out this protective care routine your guarantee claims will be void. Please refer to the letter that accompanies the reference samples at the end of the product pass for all customer order-specific information about your cover material.
Cleaning and stain removal
The removal of stains should be left solely to an upholstery cleaning expert. (Contact information is to be found in the Yellow Pages for your region). We would like to stress once again that we do not recognise damage caused as a result of incorrect stain removal and that will lead to the guarantee becoming void.
